Join us in celebrating Crossfield’s rich community spirit with a lineup of exciting exciting events and activities to do this summer
1. Crossfield Farmers Market
This summer head to Crossfield’s very own farmers market, which features a variety of vendors so you can stock up on seasonal produce and support local farmers from BC and Alberta. The market includes 40+ make, bake and grow Alberta vendors including The FarmHouse Bakery and Souto Farms! The market starts on July 4 and runs every Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crossfield Community Centre. This year there’s an exciting opportunity to “BEET the BILL” with Dolores at the Crossfield AG Society tent handing out cards that will be part of a draw to win one of FOUR $250 Farmers Market shopping spree winners in the first two weeks of September!
2. Summer Stories in the Park
Is there a more relaxing way to spend a warm summer day than reading in the park? To get outside, make new connections and read together as a whole family, head to one of three Airdrie parks this summer. Nose Creek Park, Chinook Winds Park and Chinook Gate Park will all be hosting reading events so you can spend quality time outdoors as a family. For specific dates and locations, visit discoverairdrie.com/events/159285
3. Crossfield Summer Picnic
To build your own adventure on a sunny summer day, plan to have a picnic in one of Crossfield’s beautiful parks. Veteran’s Peace Park has shady spot options and lots of room to run around, while the smaller Walker Park features a playground. Pack your own picnic lunch or drop by the Donut Man or Stacked Bistro and Bakery on the way for delicious treats. A wonderful part of small town living is that you can plan a picnic in a local park, head to local vendors to fill your basket, enjoy your summer feast, and stroll home without ever battling traffic!
